Pomona Fox Theatre
The art deco Pomona Fox theatre was opened in 1931and played first run films until 1976, then running Spanish language films until the late 80's.
In the 90's it was used as a concert and rave venue and the promoter wrecked havoc on the interior, when a couple of kids died at an event the city of Pomona closed the theatre and purchased the building, local citizens banded together In 2007 along with local developers who specialize in renovating historic buildings buying the theatre from the city for $1.6 million and spent $10 million to restore the former movie palace back to it's former glory opening back up in 2009, and now that is how the theatre is today, running concerts, movies and special events
