Piiphaat Mon Ensemble at the Wat Saenfang in Chiang Mai, Thailand

 

Also known as a phleng hae sop, referring to the ensemble and the repertoire of music meaning "music for the corpse."

 

In the front row of the ensemble are two (khaung Mon wong lek) a 17 knobbed-gong racks, with two (rant thum) a Xylophone with bamboo keys.
