Occupy Mongkok HK 2014

We found ourselves staying in the middle of Mongkok as the police tried to disperse the democracy protesters that had occupied Nathan Road (the main thoroughfare) for the last two months. Occupation turned to rolling flash-mobs and a continuous cat and mouse game with the police, darting into MTR stations and re-forming at other junctions. Arrests often followed, as did 'tear-liquid' canons, open umbrellas thrust in the air, and Mockingjay salutes.

No secret that my sympathies are with the demonstrators. Hong Kong deserves democracy.
