Route 66 - It Begins
Historic Route 66...
This was one great happening of our unplanned and unintended part of our trip. I wasn't sure what to expect after leaving two incredible places like Sedona and the Grand Canyon. But the day that ensued on this historic route turned out to be a blast. I cannot trade the laughter and fun and time in the car we had together for anything! We must have stopped every 200 yards or so, to get out and snap pictures.
We started here...at this sign. We pulled right up to it, got out of the car and started snapping away at things in every direction. The sky was amazing all throughout the day, with it starting very dreary...moody...signs of the clouds breaking...then sun!!
The shots that follow on Route 66 will be varied. I took all sorts of things ranging from landscapes to macro shots of barbed wire fences...run down buildings to mailboxes on the side of a road. Hours of driving and good times.
What a day!!!
