Berkeley Municipal Pier, with a Hint of Golden Gate Bridge

I arrived at the pier at 6:00 am and made the 3,000 ft walk down to the end. I was all by myself when I first got there, but by the time I got set up and took several test shots, the Pier really started coming to life with fishermen. I also learned that when the fishing boats leave the Berkeley Marina they use this 50 ft gap in the pier as a cut through as they head out in to the bay. During this four minute exposure three fishing boats passed through the frame, but I think that is why the foreground water came out so nice and milky in this shot.

There were some incredible clouds in the sky, and of course all the best ones were directly behind me. Though I didn't get the sky I was hoping for I was pretty happy with the overall mood of this shot.....

Thank you so much for taking a look.....
