Kilimanjaro Climb with my boys August 25, 2019 - Final day

Today was our final day on the mountain. After the absolute high of successfully summiting the previous day we were all tired and wanted to get back down and have a nice hot bath and sleep in a regular bed, :). It had rained all night long and when we woke up in the morning everything was damp and cold. It was as if the mountain was mourning our departure. No more medical check ups this morning, we just washed up , got our stuff together, and had breakfast. We then gathered to celebrate our accomplishment with the entire ‘dream team’. Without them we would not have been able to accomplish our goal. They sang for us and we had the ‘tipping ceremony ‘ where we thanked and tipped every member of our amazing team. We then headed on our last hike through the rain forest down to the Mweka Gate.
On our way to the hotel we stopped and purchased some souvenirs and had lunch. We then went back to our hotel, showered and took a nap. In the evening Robert and Abel came to the hotel to present us with our certificates acknowledging our accomplishment. We then went for drinks and dinner and said our final goodbyes to the 'Dream Team'.
