Day 1 - After breakfast, we drove north from Amman to visit Jerash. Jerash is considered one of the largest and best preserved Roman sites outside of Italy. It is a great example of Roman architecture. The site includes paved and colonnaded streets, amphitheaters, hilltop temples, a hippodrome, public squares, bath houses etc. It was very interesting that these ruins lay right amongst modern day Jerash and was such a beautiful contrast.
