46115 “SCOTS GUARDSMAN” runs round its support coach at Hellifield on 11 August 2022. It is setting back on the down loop, passing the fine down loop home signal with miniature arm. Although an original Midland Railway wooden post, a metal sleeve has been fitted over the top section due to rot. Although the adjacent signal (out of picture to the left) and the down home bracket starters (in the distance) have more modern fall protection attached this signal is surviving with a basic ladder and single hoop.
46115 will later take over 1Z62, West Coast Railways’ 0825 York – Carlisle “Dalesman”.
