The 1843 Maryport and Carlisle water tower and the station house behind it survive long after Curthwaite station closed in 1950. Also preserved from the station platform is an ornately decorated cast iron artifact, now displayed in the station hall of the National Railway museum at York. It's a Maryport and Carlisle Railway single stall urinal.
