type 2 departure

The evening freight to Carlisle (target 57) leaves Workington on 14 July 1989 behind 26031.

 

The first wagon is an empty timber carrier in Thames Board’s own blue livery, the remaining five tank wagons were collected on the up leg of the trip from USB (now Innovia) at Wigton. The four, four wheel TTA tanks were for transporting caustic soda liquor while the blue Hays bogie tank contained sulphuric acid.
