Tidal flows at the Strand, Colonsay

This area of the strand has some of the fastest tidal flows. I was there a couple of hours before a big spring tide and would estimate the speed at 3-4 knots. I could just about make progress paddling against it. Reminds me a bit of a miniature Gulf of Corryvreckan complete with tiny whirlpools.
