beetle1

whilst stood in the kitchen flicking through Michael Chinery's complete british insects for the first time,i felt a tickle on my arm. looking down i saw this beetle (presumably it came free with the book ;) ). i took some pics and then tried to identify it with my new book, but it wasnt in there ( although it does have the same markings as a wasp beetle).

i supose i cant expect all 4000 british species of beetle to be mentioned as that would probably price the book out of my range
