male segestria florentina

This large male Segestria florentina was found in the open last night and captured in a pot. After IDing him i put a shell in the pot, which he quickly entered and looked like a very sinister Hermit Crab.

Took the photos this afternoon and released him back into the garden so that he can carry on wooing the females.
