GGDF Medical Sealant Trauma Foam

Medical Sealant Trauma Foam, also known as biofoam or medigel, is a medical sealant, painkiller and antiseptic agent that is applied directly to wounds. Initial application of the gel is painful due to to the antiseptic content of the gel. The gel turns into a solid, dense white foam on contact with air, and expands to fill the wound and prevent bleeding. After about ten seconds of contact with air, the top layer of foam will solidify to a rubber-like consistency to keep the wound sealed, but micropores allow the wound to breathe. After an hour of contact with air, the top layer fragments and crumbles away, leaving the resulting foam, which has by now shrank, to fall out of the wound. Because of this it is reccomended to be used only in the absence of a trained doctor or medic. One can is issued to every soldier.
