The Kolesowny Transporter-Pekhota (Wheeled personnel transporter) is a Sediczjan truck-based wheeled APC intended to move motorised infantry to combat zones at high speed. Though it is armed with a 14mm machinegun, the vehicle is intended to act as a battle-taxi and only use its weapon in self defense. It is armoured against small arms fire and shell splinters, though it is not intended to withstand serious anti-vehicle fire. The vehicle has been in service since 1981, mostly replacing the transport trucks in main line service. The vehicle has space for ten men, with personal kit stowage on the roof of the passenger compartment.
