Wedding party with the Bride at Bridestones, Yorkshire
The stone to the far right is known as the Bride. Folklore has it that a couple had their marriage blessed in this place and lived here for a while. However, the marriage broke up and the Groom, in fury, took a pick axe to one of the stones that resembled the groom. One of the stones that now lays on its side. However, when he attempted the same with the Bride stone, loud screams echoed across the moor and he and the villagers that were with him ran away terrified.
