Write
“This is where journalists have had the upper hand for so long: they can “write” in public. But now, worryingly for them anyone can join the; readers are transforming into writers in the interactive media.” Hartley 2000: 42-3
As a Journalism student, I should be disheartened by this quote... luckily enough I don't want to be a journalist!
It is incredibly true though that anyone can write freely online- there are no boundaries!
There are endless opportunities to voice your opinion, create a blog dedicated to a niche subject- the audience is no longer silent.
