setting out

We set sail Friday morning from Half Moon Bay in a 35’ Erickson sailboat to attend Opening Day on the Bay, and spend the weekend moored off Angel Island along with other boats and friends attending the three-day party. Opening Day began in 1917, and is the last Sunday in April, and marks the start of the Northern California sailing season. There is a parade of decorated boats (over 100, took over two hours!) and lots of boat visiting and partying.
