Understanding look

22 Feb 2013 7.12pm

Mr. Lion looked at the neighbor. Both of them not speaking.

After sometime, finally Mr. Lion broke the silence: It's no use looking at my cute face wondering what Mr. Might-be Vampire is doing. My cute face won't tell you anything.

Neighbor: You're right. Hmm..

Mr. Lion: Do you think Mr. Might-be Vampire might look at his dog Carrot and wonder what you are doing?

Neighbor: I suppose not. It's easy to guess what I'm doing and also I tend to tell him too.

Mr. Lion: Then what do you think he might be thinking when he looks at Carrot?

Neighbor: Erm.. maybe he might say this to Carrot: don't go anywhere. Stay.

Mr. Lion: That won't work on me. I will go wherever I feel like going. Will that work on Carrot?

Neighbor: I guess so. The feelings are mutual, between them. Carrot too wants Mr. Might-be Vampire to stay close to him too.

Mr. Lion: Then isn't that command not necessary?

Neighbor: You're right, maybe it isn't necessary. But sometimes it's difficult to guess what's going on Carrot's mind so it's better to speak his expectation of Carrot so that Carrot knows his owner wants him to stay and not go out to explore the garden or to dig a hole and make himself dirty.

Mr. Lion: Oh. I'm not like him.

Neighbor: Well, everyone is different.

Mr. Lion: Hmm.. wondering what Mr. Might-be Vampire is doing now.

Neighbor: I think I'll stop wondering. I'll keep my mind occupied by reading a book.

Mr. Lion: Oh you are telling him again!
