Had this preproduction V8 Mandator on trail early 1967, through British Leyland Australia.
Fitted with the D250, 6 speed constant mesh gearbox.
Tropical roof and screen protector would be standard fitments in this part of the world, this one also had a radiator protector fitted, as the low slung radiator would be suseptable to stone damage on some Australian dirt roads.
Coupled to a Fruehauf dry freight exterior post van trailer, would gross out at 29.6.00 tons, giving around 19 tons payload, a little more than allowed in the UK at this time.
