Jaric Air Conditioning and Heating, Dallas, Duct Mastic Around Start Collars

A good AC company always uses duct mastic(sealer) on their start collars when running ductwork to prevent conditioned air from going into your attic instead of your home. Sadly, many times this is not done in new construction especially, but sometimes even in replacements in older homes. This is a simple and very valuable part of ductwork, furnace or evaporator coil installation. Look at your start collars. If they aren't sealed, you are losing money into your attic! Call us!
