Since it has been very cold outside, I decided to stay indoors and find subjects to photograph. I never paid a lot of attention to the ceiling but looking up, I realized that the fan light was the source of light in the living room. With the right angle, this photograph of the ceiling fan demonstrates value and line. Using the light of the fan, it was very cool to be able to get a black and white picture without having to use the feature in the camera. The details of the fan creates lines both implied and direct. The lines in a way creates shape as well. I liked that the light illustrates the texture of the fan as well the patterns of it. This photograph uses the foreground, follows the rule of thirds and provides a new perspective
