Another Solstice rant
Here you see the prof's glasses. This Midsummer he is waiting to have a slight repair following the cataract surgery he had done a couple of years ago. The procedure is said to take 15 minutes. The wait to have it dome was said to be 14 weeks long when he was first put on the list at the time of the General Election. On enquiry we find that it is now likely to take 18 weeks. I wonder whether he will have the use of his eye by the Autumn Equinox? Or by next Summer?
Meanwhile, I added a little experimental book-repair tape to his specs in the hope that the fuzzy eye will be less distracting if it is unequivocally blocked out.
