A scrap of First World War memorabilia

On this inauspicious day, the centenary of the day when Britain entered the conflict.

This is one of the dainty little cards which were made available to the troops to send home, without giving away any strategic secrets. The little card goes into the embroidered muslin envelope. On the back is writen in pencil "From Tom To his Cousin Ada". Ada was presumably my husband's maternal grandmother. Also on the back is printed "Fabrication française"
