$0.99 Tact Switch
The solution to a remote tact switch, a $0.99 Radio Shack tact switch. Well actually, they only come as a 4-pack for $3.99, and now I know why-- they're so small I've already lost two just from dropping them on the basement floor!
These switches are designed to be soldered onto a circuit board, but I'll improvise and solder wires to them. It has a wonderful tactile feel and makes a reassuring "click" when you press it.
