37667 aids stricken Fred 66953 with the now delayed 6M01,Tinsley-Bardon Hill empty stone. The failure of the loco at Chesterfield was ironic, considering the previous reporting of the train's journey north and the limited, unaided return south. The Bardon-Tinsley outward, loaded journey was reported earlier at Bagworth Jn, having seemingly come to rest and nowhere near its destination of Tinsley. With no movement north, it was somewhat strange to note that the return service was thus reported departing Tinsley some 30+ minutes early at around 11am. 66953 duly headed towards Woodburn Jct with the empty consist at 11.20. The schedule for the loaded northbound journey still gave Bagworth Jn as its last report. I headed Chesterfield well after the train was reported passing there, and headed Mill Lane, adjacent the Avenue site, to snap a few later southbound diagrams. I was met with southbound passenger diagrams running along the Up Erewash. Only after Jack Needham's report on the demise of 66953 in platform 2 at Chesterfield, did the need for these mini diversions become apparent. Having not included 6M01 in my itinerary for the day, I subsequently achieved 2 Brief, but very rewarding Encounters with this diagram. Every picture tells a story, and I thank Jack for providing the concluding chapter
