INTERMEDE - THE WHITE SMOKE - LA FUMEE BLANCHE
soon after my arrival in this place, i saw this huge smoke raising in the cold morning air. It was so heavy that I was sure something was burning. it was not, just the heating system of the factory below. Now, I still have a strange feeling each time I see it. Specially late in the night, surrealistic sight.
Quand j'ai vu fumer cette cheminée pour la première fois, j'ai pensé à un incendie, tant la fumée était dense. J'ai fini par comprendre qu'il s'agissait d'un système de chaudière à bois... Mais cette vision, tard dans la nuit, n'en reste pas moins surréaliste... Cette image me fait penser à l'incroyable et magnifique roman historique à plusieurs voix de Claude Pujade-Renaud "La nuit, la neige" 1996, Actes Sud.
