Castle Theater

The four-story C. U. Williams & Son Building to the right of the theater opened around 1912 and was originally constructed as an automobile showroom and garage. Paxtons Office Equipment Co. occupied the building for many years, and the building still bears the company's signs. The building is presently occupied by a law firm. The theater opened in 1916.
Both buildings were designed by architect A. T. Simmons. Both are contributing architectural properties in the Bloomington Central Business District that was listed in 1985 on the National Registry of Historic Places.
