Star-Lord - Pt. 17 - Let's Dance Pt. 4.

(Song in title: www.youtube.com/watch?v=B2HWuR2mq5M)

On the alien planet Achernon, Star-Lord and four hostile Kree soldiers and their team leader, Korath, stand at arms against each other. No one budging in fear that the other will open fire upon the other. Star-Lord begins to grow tired of the mindless standing and slowly grips his trigger tighter. As the trigger meets the point of contact in order to begin fire, Peter quickly jumps into the cover of a support strut. The laser bolt was able to hit one Kree soldier.

“Four hostiles left.”

”Got it Rora!” Peter says as he peaks around his cover just to be sent back with a laser bolt from one of the Kree soldiers. The bolt hits the ground beside Peter and sends dust and debris onto him. ”Guess you’re no marksman.”

“That was a warning shot.” The Kree soldier yells out to Peter. “You’re lucky I don’t just blow your head off right now.”

”Now now. No need for the contest. Star-Lord, if you get in your ship now and leave, we won’t follow you.”

”Oh alright. Yeah, just let me get in my ship and fly off. Leaving you, a menace to this galaxy, on a planet that’s supposed to be left alone. Sure.”

”Alright then. You’ve made your choice. Open fire!” With Korath’s command, the three remaining soldiers take aim and being laying down fire on Peter’s cover. Within seconds the pillar is nothing but ash and dust. As the smoke settles, the Kree walk closer to where the pillar once was. They lower their weapons in triumph as Star-Lord is nowhere to be seen. ”Pity.”

All of the sudden, a Kree soldier hits the ground with a hole in his chest. Seconds later, Star-Lord emerges from the shadows and jumps on one of the two remaining soldiers. As the two hit the ground, Peter begins punching the soldier in the face. He gets interrupted as a shot blazes past his face, barely missing him. Peter looks up and aims his gun at the soldier who shot the blast.

”Hit me next time!” With that, Peter presses the trigger and the soldier flies into the wall behind him.

“Two men left.”

Peter took his gun and shot the Kree he still had pinned to the ground. As he got up, Korath began clapping. Peter took off his helmet and spit onto the ground beneath him. He pressed a button on his collar and his helmet went over his head.

”Come on. Let’s do this the old fashioned way. Drop your weapons!” Korath laughed as he holstered his batons and motioned to Peter to come at him.

”You want to dance?” Peter holstered his gun and cracked his knuckles. ”Let’s dance!”
