King St, Newtown

This is the south end of King St, or the 'Paris End' as a friend and I ironically call it. Here the traffic is always heavy, the chimneys in the back ground are relics of the brickworks which closed decades ago to be filled in by a dump. Today it is a park, very nice and really well used. I just love these old shops, very original bit by bit coming back to life. Tried to sketch it on wet day.
