Aquesta és (bé en part era) la meva col·lecció de càmeres Graflex reflex, tipus SLR però de gran format. La gran majoria d'elles daten del primer quart del s. XX, però alguna de fins després de la II Guerra Mundial. Eren les preferides per els reporters gràfics, sobretot fins als anys 30. Però no per a reporters de guerra, pel seu gran volum i pès.
Els seus formats van des de algunes de rodets de gran format tipus 116 o 122, a la pel·licula o plaques de formats 2x3, 3x4, 4x5 i 5x7. La més antiga data de cap a 1906, i la més moderna, de fins 1963. Moltes d'elles porten el terme "Auto" al nom, i algunes hi afegeixen el "RB" de Revolving Back, perquè podien fer fotografies horitzontals o verticals.
Abans he dit que "era" la col·lecció, perquè algunes ha han estat vengudes, i altres ho seran aviat. Totes aquestes, les que no funcionen, mentre que les en millor estat les vull retenir ja que son precioses per a fer servir, amb el so del seu gran obturador de cortina.

This is (or at least was) my collection of Graflex reflex cameras, SLR style machines but in large format. The vast majority of them date from the first quarter of the 20th century, but some from after World War II. They were the favorites of graphic reporters, especially until the 1930s. But not for war reporters, due to their large volume and weight.
Their formats range from some large format roll film type like 116 or 122, to sheet film or dry plates of formats 2x3, 3x4, 4x5 and 5x7. The oldest dates from around 1906, and the most modern, from up to 1963. Many of them have the term "Auto" in the name, and some add the "RB" for Revolving Back, because they could take horizontal or vertical photographs.
I said before that the collection "was", because some have been sold, and others will be soon. All of these, the ones that don't work, while the ones in better condition I want to keep as they are beautiful to use, with the sound of their big curtain shutter.
