Torre Gorina, al aeroport / Vintage control tower

La Torre Gorina fou un palauet senyorial construit el 1883 al lloc on des del s. XVI hi havia el Mas Diviu, però del que en queda poc o res. En construir-se l'aeroport de Sabadell el 1933, la Torre Gorina semblava construida expressament per a fer-la servir de torre de control. No fou fins 1979 que es construí una primera torre de control moderna, substituida finalment per la actual el 2015.
Per desgracia la Torre Gorina continua tancada i abandonada a l'espera de una suposada rehabilitació.

The Torre Gorina was a manor built in 1883 in the place where since the XVI Century there existed the countryhouse Mas Diviu, but little or nothing remains of it. When the Sabadell airport was built in 1933, the Torre Gorina seemed to have been built expressly to be used as a control tower. It wasn't until 1979 that the first modern control tower was built, finally replaced by the current one in 2015.
Sadly the old Torre Gorina is abandoned, awaiting for a much needed consolidation.
