Una gorja exòtica / A Colorado air

Les Gorges de Daluis (i les de Cians més al est) es troben a la part alta de la vall del Var, als Alps maritims. Es troben entre Daluis i Guillaumes, i es poden resseguir per carretera, però cal fer-ho pujant riu amunt, ja que en sentit contrari passa majoritariament per tunels.
Tota la pedra és d'un inusual color molt roig, el que li dona al paisatge un aire molt diferent del tipic relleu alpí. A mi em va fer pensar més en que em trobava en algun lloc de l'Àfrica o del oest americà. N'hi ha que ho anomenen "le Colorado niçois".

The Gorges de Daluis (and the Gorges de Cians to the east) are located in the upper part of the Var river valley, in the Maritime Alps. They are located between Daluis and Guillaumes, and can be followed by road, but you have to go up the river, since in the opposite direction it mostly goes through tunnels.
All the stone is of an unusual very red color, which gives the landscape an image very different from the typical alpine relief. It made me think more that I was somewhere in Africa or the American West. Some call it "le Colorado niçois".
