El monestir romanic de Santa Cecilia de Montserrat és l'ALTRE monestir medieval de la muntanya. Tot i ser molt més desconegut que Santa Maria, dona una idea de com era Montserrat en època romànica.

If you know Montserrat you already know it's famous Santa Maria abbey, the religious heart of Catalonia. But there was ANOTHER abbey in the middle ages, Santa Cecilia, of which only the romanesque church has survived to this day. It even had again a feminine monastic comunity from 1952 to 1954, then moved to the XX Century Sant Benet de Montserrat abbey.
