L'exedra romana / Roman exedra
IN ENGLISH BELOW THE LINE

Picture taken with my Rolleicord II, made c.1937; Fomapan 100 film.
This arch was part of a Later Roman villa, known today as Boades, in Central Catalonia. It was probably a window in a triclinium or auditorium in the luxury part of the villa. Dates from the III or IV Century AD. It's quite unusual to have such "high" Roman remains, even to include a full window.
It's quite unknown, anyway, myself being aware of it's existance just days before taking this picture.
