Aquesta és la primera vegada que vaig pel centre d'Esparreguera, cosa que tenia pendent ja que el meu avi patern hi tenia les arrels familiars. Pel que deia el meu pare, fins hi tot de jove feien una "iniciació" consistent en voltar la barana de dalt del campanar (el 2on més alt de Catalunya)... per fora!!

This is the first time I've been in the town of Esparreguera, south of Montserrat, in Catalonia. It was a trip I had to make someday (although is quite near my hometown), because my grandfather (on my father's side) was born here (or his father I'm not sure). Anyway, my father once told me that the town's young ones (my grandfather among them) had back then a sort of "initiation" consisting in walking around the bell tower (60 m. high, the 2nd highest in Catalonia)... from the outside of the balustrade on top of it!!
