L'autentic ghetto de Cracovia / The real Cracow ghetto

Aquesta és la autentica plaça central del antic ghetto de Cracovia (1940-1943), al barri de Podgórze, al sud del Vístula. Spielberg no filmà La llista de Schindler aquí mateix perquè bona part de la plaça, sobretot cap a la part que no es veu a la fotografia, hi ha edificis moderns de vidre i ciment. Les cadires de bronze son un monument modern al ghetto, posteriors i tot a la pel·licula.

 

Spielberg filmà les escenes del ghetto al barri jueu de Cracovia, Kazimierz. Aquí podeu veure un panorama del "ghetto" de la pel·licula:

This is the authentic central square of the former Krakow ghetto (1940-1943), in the Podgórze district, south of the Vistula. Spielberg didn't film Schindler's List right here because much of the square, especially towards the part not seen in the photograph, is made up of modern glass and cement buildings. The bronze chairs are a modern monument to the ghetto, later and all in the film.

 

Instead, Spielberg filmed the scenes of the ghetto in the Jewish quarter of Cracow, Kazimierz. Here you have a comparison of the "movie ghetto":
