Dins l'hangar principal del museu es troben les peces més voluminoses i valuoses, com aquest parell de icones de la Luftwaffe durant la II Guerra Mundial: un Junkers Ju-52 i un Messerschmitt Bf-109. Però la meva càmera és encara més antiga que ells (el Ju-52 es una copia francesa de postguerra, i el Bf-109 és un model de mitja guerra, mentre la meva càmera és del 36)...
El Museu de l'Aviació Polonesa (Muzeum Lotnictwa Polskiego w Krakowie), a est de Cracovia compta amb una impressionant col·lecció d'avions i helicopters, tant polonesos com sobretot sovietics i uns quants d'occidentals. El lloc és un antic aeroport militar, de fet un dels més antics del món, fundat el 1912.. Val molt la pena per als aficionats a l'aviació.

Inside the museum's main hangar are the most voluminous and valuable pieces, such as this pair of World War II Luftwaffe icons: a Junkers Ju-52 and a Messerschmitt Bf-109. But my camera is even older than them (the Ju-52 is a postwar French copy and the Bf-109 looks like mid-war production, while my Contax II dates from 1936)…
The Polish Aviation Museum (Muzeum Lotnictwa Polskiego w Krakowie), east of Krakow, has an impressive collection of airplanes and helicopters, both Polish and mostly Soviet and a few Western ones. The place is a former military airport, in fact one of the oldest in the world, founded in 1912.. Well worth a visit for aviation fans.
