L'esglesia de Granollers és pràcticament tota neogòtica, reconstruida a la postguerra, amb l'excepció del campanar, que és original. Fou destruida en el bombardeig del 1938? No pas. Fou enderrocada pels comites revolucionaris per a "donar feina" als parats i eliminar tota resta religiosa, obviament. Mentrestant, els feixistes anaven guanyant la guerra...

The church of Sant Esteve de Granollers, in Granollers, Catalonia was not only sacked and burned by the anarchists during the spanish civil war, but was then completely demolished to "give work to the unemployed". As if it was esential to the war effort. Meanwhile the fascists where advancing on all fronts, till they won.
The church was rebuilt in neogothic style after the war. The bell tower is the only medieval part that was left standing.
