Rolleicord Ia, model 3 "Polizei"
He tingut la fortuna de trobar i comprar, a internet, aquesta Rolleicord Ia Model 3 “Polizei” (K3-541), fabricada en petit nombre (unes 500 unitats) per encarrec de la policia alemana entorn 1939. És una càmera força unica doncs, i col•leccionable. La sort es que es venia senzillament com a una Rolleicord de preguerra normal i corrent, això si, en magnific estat de conservació. Però el fet de ser del model “Polizei” li dona molt mes valor.
En què es diferencia, doncs, de les Rolleicord Ia usuals ? De fet es tracta d’una variació del model 3 (K3-531), que es fabricà entre 1938 i 1947. Mentre que el model 3 standard portava un objectiu superior Heidosmat f4 (per mirar) i un objectiu inferior Triotar f4.5 (per fer les fotografies), les Rolleicord Ia policials portaven un Heidosmat f3.2 i un Triotar f3.5. Apart d’això la única diferencia, però la que destaca visualment és que sota la placa en relleu on posa Rolleicord (com en el model 3) hi porta gravat FRANKE & EINDECKE BRAUNSCHWEIG. Això es deu a que les “model 3” standard portaven aquest text al obturador, però com aquest era diferent per al model “Polizei” (per la lent més gran, suposo), no hi varen poder posar aquest text al obturador sinó a sota el titol. Apart d’això, a la càmera en si no hi ha cap referencia a ser propietat policial.
Val a dir que la càmera funciona perfectament i que estèticament està en molt bon estat.

I had the good fortune to find, and buy, on the web, this Rolleicord Ia, Model 3 "Polizei" (K3 / 541), manufactured in small numbers (about 500 units) by order of the German police c.1939. It is a rather unique camera , and very collectible. The luck is that it was sold simply as a normal and ordinary pre-war Rolleicord, albeit in magnificent condition. But the fact of being of the "Polizei" model gives it much more value.
So how does it differ from the usual Rolleicord Ia? This is actually a variation of the Model 3 (K3 / 531), which was manufactured between 1938 and 1947. While the standard Model 3 carried a Heidosmat f4 viewing lens (for looking) and a Triotar f4.5 taking lens, the ‘Polizei’ Rolleicord Ia carried a Heidosmat f3.2 and a Triotar f3.5 in those positions. Apart from this, the only difference, but the one that stands out visually, is that under the embossed plate with the Rolleicord name(as in model 3) there is engraved the text FRANKE & EINDECKE BRAUNSCHWEIG. This is because the standard "model 3" had this text on the very Compur shutter, but as this part was different in the "Polizei" model (because of the larger lens, I guess), they could not put this text on the shutter but below it the plate. Apart from that, there is no reference to the camera itself being police property.
It is worth saying that the camera works perfectly and that aesthetically it is in very good condition.
