Graflex Auto, quarter plate
IN ENGLISH BELOW THE LINE

======================
The huge Folmer & Schwing Graflex Auto is a great camera from the early s. XX, maybe not so very well known, but with a very important role, especially for the press. Think of it, despite its size (3 !74 x 4 1/4, or "quarter plate"), is in fact a SLR, allowing it to focus and shoot relatively quickly.
It was manufactured by Folmer & Schwing, then owned by Eastmann Kodak, between 1909 and 1923, with few changes in production. This one in particular is the old version, with a viewfinder lid opening from behind (1916-1923). The shutter is focal plane (up to 1/1000) and the lens, a Kodak Anastigmat f4.5.
This one was originally bought from the Honolulu Photo Supply Co., in Honolulul, Hawaii. The shutter unfortunately does not work.
