Un college no tant nou com diu / Not so "New" College

IN ENGLISH BELOW THE LINE

The New College in Oxford is, nonwithstanding its name, one of the oldests in that university. It was founded in 1379, and it's the first one with buildings specifically designed with the idea of a university college in mind. So it could be said that it's the master plan for every future college in Oxford or elsewere. Others are older, like Merton, but their buildings were grouped in a more chaotic way.

Here you have its old quad ("quadrangle"), with the chapel and hall.
