Per aquells que no ho sapigueu, si aneu entre Trafalgar Sq. i Westminster, per Whitehall, al bell mig de la calçada us trobareu aquest monument força discret.
Doncs es tracta del The Cenotaph, o "el Cenotafi", el monument als morts britanics en combat. Originariament només estava dedicat als morts de la I Guerra Mundial, però després expandí el seu rol.
Si us fixeu, he aprofitat l'enquadrament per incloure la bandera d'Ucraïna, onejant dalt dels edificis del govern britanic.

If you walk between Trafalgar Sq. and Westminster, through Whitehall, in the middle of the street you will find this rather discreet monument.
This is The Cenotaph, the monument to the British dead in combat. It was originally dedicated only to the dead of World War I, but later expanded its role.
If you notice, I've taken advantage of the framing to include the flag of Ukraine, flying above the British government buildings
