El Vapor Pissit és una antiga fàbrica textil, una de les primeres construides a Sabadell i que ha sobreviscut força intacte fins a avui en dia. Fou construida el 1843, tot i que força modificat arran d'un incendi el 1909. Abandonat a finals del s. XX, s'ha restaurat parcialment i des de fa dècades es diu que ha de convertir-se en museu... però no s'hi fa res des de fa 20 anys. Esperem que acabi bé.

The Vapor Pissit is a former textile factory in Sabadell. Built in 1843, it was one of the first large factories in the city, then known as "the Catalan Manchester" for it's industrial (wool fabric mainly) might. The factories run with steam power where known as "vapors". My mother still remembers how one of these steam engines blown up and ended several streets away, destroying some houses and killing people.
The Vapor Pissit was in fact rebuilt after a fire in 1909. Anyway it was abandoned in the later XX Century, but partially restored as it has to house a museum... but they have left it empty for the last 20 years...
