Aquest és el clon actual del Cinema Imperial de Sabadell, edifici que havia estat el cinema més antic al sud dels Pirineus (1911). Però les ganes de especular fort i l'amor als beneficis per sobre del patrimoni el varen enderrocar el 2000, amb ple suport del ajuntament i forta oposició popular. Ara hi ha això, força metres enrera de la seva situació original a la Rambla.

This is the actual clone or copy of what was the oldest cinema in Catalonia (and the spanish state). It was an art nouveau building completed in 1911. A real part of the history of cinema. But hey, what's that in front of the need to make money building real state? So they demolished it in 2000, building this bland copy more or less in place. Now it's almost the only surviving cinema in Sabadell.
