Anís del Mono és un dels licors més coneguts de Catalunya, fabricat des de sempre, arran de mar, a Badalona. La fàbrica mateixa és ara patrimoni industrial, ja que tota ella és d'estil modernista.

The "Anís del Mono" brand is one of the most popular Catalan liquors. It's of the anise type, and usually mixed with coffe or, as is popular in La Patum, with moscatell sweet wine to make "barreja".
The name "monkey's anise" and image of the brand throws us back to the XIX Century, as is a pun to Charles Darwin and the evolution of the species.
