The unassuming Baygual i Llonch factory in Sabadell does not seem relevant, but it is an important point in the history of the city and the spanish civil war. Between 1937 and 1938 it became the fighter aircraft factory SAF-16. Specifically here the fuselages and wings of the Polikarpov I-15 "Xato" were mounted; 83 where produced during the war.
They were then transported to Sabadell airport, where the wings were mounted and flight tests were performed. The weapons and motors came from the Soviet Union.
Photo taken with a Hasselblad 500 EL / M manufactured in 1978; Carl Zeiss Distagon f4 / 50mm lens; Fomapan 100 revealed with HC110.
