El poble pallarès de Dorve en principi sembla desgraciadament abandonat. Situat molt per sobre de la Noguera Pallaresa, amb unes magnífiques vistes de la vall d'Espot, ara hi arriba una carretera moderna.
Aquest fet pot salvar aquest poble de la aniquilació. Tot i que la majoria de cases estan obertes i abandonades, ensorrant-se, un parell o tres han estat arreglades i semblen habitades regularment. També l'església romànica fou restaurada fa pocs anys
Potser encara hi ha esperança per l'antic Dorve.

The tiny mountain village of Dorve, in the Pallars Sobirà, looks abandoned and in the path of oblition. But a few years ago they built a metalled road and restored the romanesque church. And when we visited it, a couple or even three houses look restored and even inhabited.
Perhaps new life shall return to old Dorve.
