Linhof is synonymous with German precision and reliability, and rightly so. These cameras are like a Mercedes Benz in large format photography. All the pieces are steel blocks that match each other perfectly. Now weighs like a car, too.

This is a Linhof Technika II, apparently manufactured in 1947 in Munich, just after World War II. In fact, it was probably assembled from several pieces that were in stock. Although post-war is still marked with the DRP (Deutsches Reich Patent).

It's a 13x18 camera, one of the largest that I have, and despite being a Linhof, it got it quite cheap, probably because it's a pretty old model without rangefinder. With all, it has many moves and a Schneider Kreutzach Angulon f6.8 120mm (from 1949-50), mounted on a Press Compur shutter.
