Les reisekamera o "càmeres de viatge" son un tipus de càmera de placa de gran format que tingueren gran èxit els 30 anys entorn el 1900. Sembla que s'originaren entorn Dresde cap al 1860 i la seva principal ventatge era el facil transport tot i la mida.
Aquest exemplar, tot i que per desgracia mancat de nom del fabricant, probablement és aleman i relativament tardà, cap al 1910-1914. El format és de 13x18cm, té el panell posterior amb moviment horitzontal, obturador de cortina alemany i objectiu Rodenstock Recti-aplanat f8 de 210mm. El nº de serie del objectiu és el que ajuda més a acotar la data de la càmera entre el 1910 i el 1912, tot i que podria ser anterior i haver-hi adoptat un nou objectiu, també.

The reisekamera or "travel cameras" are a type of large-format dry plate camera that had a great success for 30 years around 1900. It seems that they originated around Dresden around 1860 and their main advantage was the easy transportation, considering it's size.
This one here, although unfortunately lacking the name of the manufacturer, is probably German and relatively late, made arround 1910-1912. The format is 13x18cm, has the rear panel with horizontal movement, a German roller blind shutter and a Rodenstock Recti-aplanat f8 210mm lens. The serial number of the Rodenstock helps to date the camera between 1910 and 1912, although it could be earlier and have donned a new objective, too.
